Toby Jones Joins HG Cast

Deadline is reporting that Toby Jones has joined The Hunger Games cast. . .but it doesn't say as who.

Toby Jones has joined The Hunger Games, playing the host/narrator of the games alongside Stanley Tucci. The Lionsgate film is just about cast up. It's set for a March 23, 2012 release. Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth star. Jones will next be seen in Captain America: The First Avenger, and Steven Spielberg's The Adventures of Tintin. He's now filming the ITV miniseries Titanic, which will air next year on ABC.
Many wonder if Jones will play Cladius Templesmith. What do you think?

Lenny Kravitz cast as Cinna

Lionsgate announced today that Lenny Kravitz was cast as the role on Cinna, Katniss's stylist for the Games.

What are your thoughts? I just remembered that Kravitz played the creepy nurse in Precious, which makes me a little sad.

District 12 Train Station

Henry River Mill Village is being transformed from a once-forgotten, dilapidated mill town to become part of a dystopian society.
Dingy clothes hang on a clothesline of an empty home. Windows of the houses along the road are boarded up with plywood. What appears to be an animal pen has been built against the side of one of the houses that fronts the road, and what looks like a rabbit hutch sits around back. Rusted farm equipment also is scattered around the property.
And it appears the old mill store is being transformed to become the site of the bakery for a film version of the book “The Hunger Games,” which has the working title of “Artemis.” Scenes for the movie are set to be filmed at the Hildebran site.

Scenes Jennifer Lawrence is excited to film

In another article with Entertainment Weekly, Jennifer names what her favorite scenes to film will be.

Her No. 1 scene from The Hunger Games: “The first time that Katniss has to go into the cylinder and she goes up into the arena and looks around and sees it for the first time,” says Lawrence. “Knowing that when that trumpet blows she could die. The thing that’s great about her is she’s not a murderer. She’s a hunter, but she’s not a killer. I told Gary, ‘I totally understand if you don’t hire me, but please remember that after Katniss shoots a bow and kills someone her face cannot be badass. It has to be broken.’ She has to be heartbroken because she just took another person’s life. It’s so tempting, especially with a cool, big budget franchise movie, but we have to remember that she’s a 16-year-old girl who’s being forced to do this. These kids are only killing each other because if they don’t, they’ll die. It’s needless, pointless, unjustified violence. So there’s nothing cool about her. It’s not like she looks around the arena and goes ‘Yeah, I got this, I’m going to do this.’ I think she looks around terrified and thinks, ‘Well there are all the million different ways that I can die.’”
Her No. 1 scene from the entire trilogy, however, comes from the second book: “It’s fromCatching Fire,” she says. “When she finds out that she has to go back and she runs in and has a complete meltdown — I remember reading that and being like ‘I want to act that!’”

More Images of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen

More images have surfaced of Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen in Entertainment Weekly.

In my opinion, Jennifer still looks to old. I always pictured Katniss as a lanky-malnourished kid. Not a already strong looking pretty girl. While it's still not as bad as I pictured, Jennifer is NOT Katniss. There were so many talented actresses that would've been so much better. Major disappointment!
