I want to keep this review short because, honestly, you're either going to LOVE or HATE this book.
Most the characters are likeable. Amy is winey, and most of all, her dialogue is not the same style as the rest of the book. Elder is good-hearted, honest, and sometimes playfully risque. (In a good way.)
The main problem with this book is that Ms. Revis didn't seem to know what plot lines to stay with. Throughout the storyline, there's 4 different plots. Amy and Elder discover something, investigate it, worry about it, talk about it, and then discover something else, investigate it, worry about it, and talk about it.
The twist at the end is not expected. Funny, because while Ms. Revis didn't know about plots, she DID know exactly how to throw clues in the storyline, weaving the ending throughout. I loved that aspect.
Really, if a book can keep me guessing, it's a winner.
I would definitely recommend this. It's not everyday you get to read of a massive spaceship.
4/5
